Sparklehorse has announced more than a month of North American shows, starting February 2 in Austin, Texas.
The group, which toured for the first time in more than three years this fall, will play clubs and theatres across the U.S., with a couple Canadian dates thrown in as well.
Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter will serve as opening act on the trek. The two bands will stay on the road through March 4, closing out at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse.
Prior to this fall’s U.S. and European shows, Sparklehorse hadn’t toured since 2003, when the band went out for stints with R.E.M. and The Flaming Lips.
The group’s latest album, Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain, was released in September. Sparklehorse frontman Mark Linkous produced the album with help from Danger Mouse and Dave Fridmann.
