More artists will be announced at a later date for the benefit concert, which focuses on encouraging Americans to support family farms.

“Family farmers are our best choice for good, fresh, wholesome foods,” co-founder and board member Young said. “When you choose local, sustainable, humanely raised, or organic food from family farms, you are keeping family farmers on the land.”

“Everyone, everywhere deserves access to family farm food,” said Nelson, who serves as Farm Aid President. “The Farm Aid concert brings us all together to support one of our most important national resources, our family farmers.”

Last year’s Farm Aid took place at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, Ill. Longtime Farm Aid staples Nelson, Young, Mellencamp and Matthews were joined by Los Lonely Boys, Kenny Chesney, John Mayer, Emmylou Harris, Wilco, Buddy Guy, Arlo Guthrie and more.
