Here Come The Scots
Scottish indie-pop group Camera Obscura will cross the ocean for its biggest North American tour yet, with concerts booked in 22 cities throughout July.
The Glasgow-based sextet will land in Toronto July 4, then hit cities including New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Dallas before covering the West Coast. They’ll wrap in Newport, Ky., July 30.
The band’s new album, Let’s Get Out Of This Country, was just released in the U.S. The disc was recorded last fall with producer Jari Haapalainen and released Stateside on Merge, which also put out the group’s previous effort, Underachievers Please Try Harder.
Camera Obscura first toured the U.S. in 2004 after the release of Underachievers. Their only visit since then was a quick trip for South by Southwest this past spring.
