George Michael Has A Hit
Just hours after his tour dates were announced, tickets for George Michael’s first U.K. tour in 15 years were on the brink of selling out and more dates were being added.
Tickets went on sale at 9 a.m. April 22 and the first show (November 17) at the huge Manchester Evening News Arena sold out within minutes. Shows for November 18 and 19 were added immediately and all three were sold out by lunchtime.
The schedule includes seven dates in London, three in Birmingham and one in Glasgow in addition to the Manchester dates.
Michael has dubbed the tour 25 Live. It will be a greatest hits tour with a selection of songs taken from all his albums over the past 25 years, including some classic Wham! tracks.
The 42-year-old star’s tour begins in Madrid on September 27 before coming to Britain in November.
