Solo Dates For Nick Cave
Nick Cave fans in the U.K. will have a chance to catch the “dark prince of rock” on a solo tour early next year.
He won’t be all alone on those stages, however. A pared-down version of the Bad Seeds – comprising violinist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn Casey and drummer Jim Sclavunos – will provide backing instrumentation.
Cave’s infrequent solo outings offer him a chance to play more intimate venues that wouldn’t normally suit the raucous Bad Seeds.
He’ll kick off the tour at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall January 30 and play seven theatres, including the Edinburgh Playhouse and London’s Apollo Victoria, before wrapping at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall February 6.
Cave and The Bad Seeds wrapped their most recent tour in December 2004. Prior to that, he did a round of solo dates.
