Slippery Revelations
Eels frontman, E, spent over two years just writing the music for his latest release, Blinking Lights and Other Revelations. He said hefelt that the process was taking so long that he wrote and recorded 2003’s Shootenanny! during the writing of Blinking Lights.
But E’s magnum opus has finally reached the public and he’s taken to the road in support.
While the Eels have been touring Europe over the month of May, American fans will have to wait until mid-June before the band makes it to Yankee shores.
June will begin with the Eels touring through major cities in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Their first date in the U.S. will be on June 15 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. From there, they will trek North for shows in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver for the 16th, 17th, and 18th, respectively.
Shows will follow in Great Lakes region, Canada, and the East Coast before wrapping up the tour in New York on June 30.
Blinking Lights and Other Revelations is Eels most ambitious project. The music comprises two discs and will feature performances from Tom Waits, R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, and The Lovin’ Spoonful’s John Sebastian.
