Both bands will play full sets, with laser lights, pyrotechnics and video effects promised for each show.

3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold explained that the bands were drawn together by a bit of common history.

“We had played some shows with Nickelback when we toured in support of our first album, The Better Life, and thought it would be cool to go out with them again,” Arnold said.

“I can’t wait to get back on the road with the 3 Doors boys,” Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger added. “They are like family to us and we have had some amazing times together. We are looking forward to some more great times ahead.”

Prior to the trek, Nickelback has an Australian run set for May.
