Ladies First
It’s Ladies First this spring when Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott head out on the road with special guest Tamia. Officially dubbed the Verizon Ladies First Tour , the outing is scheduled to stretch just over five weeks, spanning the greater portions of March and April.
The tour will hit most regions of the U.S., and tickets for a few cities are already on sale.
This is the first major U.S. tour for Beyoncé, who is riding high on her solo debut, Dangerously In Love. She picked up five Grammys at this year’s ceremony, tying the record for most wins by a female artist – an honor shared by tourmate Alicia Keys.
Singer/songwriter/pianist Keys released her sophomore effort, The Diary Of Alicia Keys, in December.
Hip-hop queen Missy Elliott, a Grammy winner herself, is supporting her latest release, This Is Not A Test. The album is the fifth for Elliott, who juggles multiple roles as a rapper, producer, songwriter and label head.
