The Swedish group has announced dates for a two-month outing on the other side of the North Sea. Scotland lands the band for three shows to start September 18. They wrap October 12 in Dublin.

All this celebration comes in support of the band’s latest and sixth album.

When making the new disc this time around, The Wannadies ditched the major label and did things their way. Enlisting the help of some friends the band has worked with in the past – Nille Perned (studio stuff), Garth Jennings (videos), and X-Lars Sundh (cover artwork) – the ‘Dies set to work on what would become Before And After.

“We knew we wanted to release the album on our own label, intRecords, but realized as well that it would be good to cooperate with some company that had a good, working distribution and who could help us with promotion and stuff,” the band said.

They eventually settled on Swedish record company National for a more “local” release and picked U.K. company Cooking Vinyl for international.

As for the album itself, the band said, “Early on we had the idea to make the album in two halves: happy versus sad; fast versus slow; or whatever.” The result is six songs of the Before part, and six in the After. The disc also features four bonus video tracks. Look for it in shops sometime around September 8.
