Rock The Mic
Jay-Z is also bringing along his Roc-A-Fella family, comprised of Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek and Freeway. 50 Cent is doing much the same with his G-Unit. And you can expect several “special guests” to appear with the other artists on the tour.
50 Cent told MTV recently about the tour, saying, “It’s going to be off the hook. That’s when it really gets [to be a] tour … when you start building sets and you start seeing things you don’t see at the average club concert.”
Rock The Mic is more than just a tour: It’s a hip-hop festival featuring all aspects of the hip-hop culture and lifestyle. Although exactly what that entails is being kept under wraps.
The tour launches June 25 in Hartford, Conn., and will roll on through the States to wrap August 5.
Tickets for select markets are on sale through Ticketmaster. Prices look to be kept under the $50 mark.
