Looking at the itinerary, it’s not too surprising to discover many of the stops are scheduled for college towns. After all, the two bands have the college kids to thank for their current success.
But let’s not limit their fan-base to students. Both OK Go and The Donnas are enjoying chart-topping success for their latest album efforts. The Donnas’ Spend The Night disc debuted at an impressive No. 1 on the Heatseeker chart and successive singles have fared equally as well.
This latest tour marks the girls’ second round supporting the album. Previously, they were supported by Campfire Girls and Your Enemies Friends.
Meanwhile, OK Go continue to support their self-titled debut, which has proved to be a surprise hit for the relatively unknown band. They’ve been gigging alongside the likes of The Vines, They Might Be Giants and Fountains Of Wayne throughout the year.
Newbies Rooney hop on the party train from February 9 through the rest of the tour. The band, which is fronted by Robert Schwartzman, have been playing the Los Angeles club scene for a couple of years now. Recognize that last name? Robert is a brother to actor/rocker Jason from Phantom Planet.
