Graham Nash, Solo Survivor
Included on the itinerary is a special two-night stand at Harrah’s South Shore in Lake Tahoe.
Nash’s fifth solo album, Songs For Survivors, was recently released and marks his first solo effort in 16 years. In addition to showcasing songs from the new album, Nash and his band will play hits from his extensive and illustrious songbook nightly during the tour.
As a founding member of British chart-toppers The Hollies as well as Crosby, Stills & Nash, he penned a number of hits that helped define a generation. His songs include “Marrakesh Express,” “Teach Your Children,” “Our House,” “Just A Song Before I Go,” and “Lady Of The Island.”
The upcoming theatre trek is much more intimate for Nash, who, with his CSN&Y cohorts, is accustomed to packing arena-sized venues. The quartet ranked No. 3 on POLLSTAR’s Top 50 tours of the year thus far, earning $34.9 million.
The band had the eighth highest grossing tour of 2000, the year that marked Neil Young’s reunion with the band after a 25-year absence.
Nash’s last solo outing was in 1997 when he supported Bonnie Raitt.
