Dilated Peoples Scratch Out A Tour

Los Angeles-based hip-hoppers Dilated Peoples call on a few friends to help them out with their Scratch Tour. The trio kick off their outing on March 5 with a show at The Fillmore in San Francisco. A few shows in California, Arizona and Colorado round out the West Coast dates, with the Midwestern and East Coast states picking things up March 13-22.

Also appearing on the outing are GrandWizzard Theodore, Z-Trip, Jazzy Jay and special guests Mix Master Mike (March 5-7), DJ Swamp (8, 11), DJ Craze (13-14) and DJ Q-Bert (15-22).

In conjunction with the tour, Dilated Peoples will be screening the new Palm Pictures documentary, “Scratch.” “Scratch” is a feature-length film about the hip-hop DJ and turntablist movement and features the likes of Q-Bert, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist and Mix Master Mike. The film opened February 15 in select cities in America.

Dilated Peoples – comprising Evidence, DJ Babu and Rakaa – are touring behind their latest album, Expansion Team, which dropped last October.

Further dates for the DJ troupe will be announced, as Dilated Peoples have plans of continuing through Miami’s annual Winter Music Conference, which is set for the end of March.
