The Who Head Stateside
Vintage rockers The Who look ahead to this summer for a tour of U.S. amphitheatres and arenas. The 18-date jaunt kicks off June 28 with an intimate show at the 2,000 capacity The Joint in Las Vegas and moves on to large venues from coast to coast.
Madison Square Garden in New York snags the legendary group for a two-night stand, July 31 and August 1.
Tickets go on sale starting February 16 (Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis) with the rest following suit in the coming months. Prices range from around $40.00 on up to the $200.00 mark.
The Who have been fairly active on the benefit show front recently. They were part of The Concert For New York City event back in October and just wrapped up the second of two shows benefitting the Teenage Cancer Trust in the U.K. Preceding their Cancer Trust benefit, The Who warmed up their vocal chords with a set of three intimate gigs around England.
The Who last toured in 2000, when they did a similar run of U.S. outdoor venues over the summer.
