Alicia Keys Readies Headlining Tour
“This year has been incredible and I am looking forward to getting out and playing live around the country. It gives me an opportunity to be intimate with the people that have supported my music and I can’t wait,” Keys said.
Incredible is a pretty accurate description of her past year. From her album Songs In A Minor, debuting at No. 1, to multiple nominations on the music award circuit, to a virtually sold-out tour with Maxwell, Keys had a stellar 2001.
Most recently, she took home the Welcome To The Big Time honor at the VH1 Awards. Keys is also up for five American Music Awards and eight Billboard Music Awards.
Meanwhile, Keys keeps busy with holiday radio festival shows around the country. She joins Lenny Kravitz, Nelly Furtado, Craig David, Jay-Z, Lifehouse, Faith Evans, Blu Cantrell, Shaggy, and Mariah Carey, to name a few, for shows around Texas, Minnesota, New York, Illinois, California, and Pennsylvania.
She is also participating in Elton John‘s AIDS Foundation Benefit show, which takes place December 12 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
