Jermaine released a statement last month saying he had dropped out of Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, The Solo Years, scheduled for September 7 and 10 at Madison Square Garden.

He expressed concerns about the shows in a press release in which he complained about ticket prices – which ranged from $45 to $2,500. He also took issue with the fact that no charities had been named to benefit from the shows.

But Danny O’Donovan, the Jacksons’ manager, said Jermaine didn’t change his mind. “He always wanted to do the show, and I don’t think he ever said he was not doing the show. He was just voicing some of his concerns,” O’Donovan said. “The brothers are totally reunited and they will be doing the show together.”

A few days after Jermaine’s initial announcement, brother Randy – a member of The Jacksons but not the Jackson 5 – stepped in to take his place. It’s not known if he’s still involved.

The Anniversary Celebration will take place September 7 and 10 at Madison Square Garden in NYC and features an all-star lineup. Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige, Ray Charles, Gloria Estefan, Whitney Houston, *NSYNC, Jill Scott, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Luther Vandross, Dionne Warwick, and Gladys Knight are just a sampling of the artists scheduled to appear.

The show will be filmed as a two-hour prime-time special for CBS Television Network and will be broadcast around the world.
