He’s Keen On Texas
He’ll warm up with a co-billed appearance at the February 19 Livestock Show and Rodeo in Houston with pal Lyle Lovett before heading out with Chambers two days later in Baton Rouge, La.
The two will swing through New Orleans; Nashville; Washington, D.C.; New York City and a few secondary markets before Chambers leaves the tour after a March 3 concert in Durham, N.C.
Keen will then return to Texas for shows in Austin, Amarillo, Lubbock and FortWorth.
His most recent album, Walking Distance, was released in October 1998 but Keen has kept himself busy touring and staging his Texas Uprising shows featuring some of the Lone Star State’s brightest talents.
Chambers brings her songs from the south – as in New South Wales, Australia – to American audiences in support of her debut full-length release, The Captain.
The newcomer has earned high praise in the last year, and has already played a handful of dates in North America including the late-night talkers such as “Late Show with David Letterman.”
