Nina Gordon Goes Solo
Nina Gordon has made a break from her Veruca Salt past with a new album, Tonight And The Rest Of My Life, and is heading out on a national club tour to support it.
Her first full solo outing launches October 24 at the House Of Blues in Chicago. So far, the signer/guitarist has firmed up 14 North American dates running into mid November. More dates are expected to be confirmed shortly.
During her stint as one of the co-founders of Veruca Salt – which split in 1998 – Gordon wrote and sang on two of the band’s biggest hits, “Seether” and “Volcano Girls.”
Though they broke up in a “highly charged atmosphere,” according to Gordon, she has maintained at least one tie to her former band.
Producer Bob Rock, the man behind 1997’s Eight Arms to Hold You, handled production duties for Tonight And The Rest Of My Life, which was released June 27.
