Stone Temple Pilots Get Disturbed
Scott Weiland and Co. wrap up the support duties on the RHCP tour September 22 at the Key Arena in Seattle, then play a couple of radio festivals before taking on headlining duties.
A rejuvenated STP has been garnering notice with the return of clean-and-sober frontman Weiland from well-publicized stints in jail and numerous rehab attempts.
Their most recent album, No. 4, was recorded just before Weiland entered a Los Angeles County jail to serve a one-year sentence for violating probation on a previous drug conviction.
More dates are expected to be announced soon, including some possible dates with Godsmack.
Disturbed joins STP October 3 at Philadelphia, and opens through October 13. The hardcore outfit is out in support of its debut release, Sickness, and has spent time on the road this year with Kittie and fellow headbangers Danzig.
