Every Step You Take; Every Leg You Break
Molland walked to the edge of the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater stage to speak to a fan and fell off, fracturing a leg just below the knee. A band spokesperson said there was no reflective tape marking on the edge of the stage.
With just two songs left in the show, Molland climbed back to complete the set and an encore before heading to Cascade Valley Hospital in nearby Arlington, Wash. There, he was fitted with a soft cast and leg brace.
He was released the same night, and the band headed for the Venetian Theatre in Albany, Ore., for a show the next day.
Despite Molland’s injury and an upcoming date with an orthopedic surgeon, Badfinger doesn’t expect to cancel any upcoming gigs, the spokesperson said.
Badfinger had a string of hits in the 1970s, including “No Matter What,” “Day After Day” and “Come And Get It.” The band is expected to release a greatest hits collection, The Very Best Of Badfinger, in September.
