Bach on Broadway
Sounds like a Jekyll & Hyde-type of tale, you say? That’s because the big-haired bad boy will become the good doctor and his evil alter-ego at New York’s Plymouth Theatre on June 13.
It will be Bach’s Broadway debut.
He’s taking over for Jack Wagner, who had a hit record with “All I Need” in the 1980s and spent part of the ‘90s wreaking havoc as Dr. Peter Burns on “Melrose Place.”
Bach led Skid Row through its early ‘90s heyday, with hits including “18 And Life,” and “I Remember You.” In his post-Skid Row incarnation, he has toured steadily with his band, Sebastian Bach & Friends.
He embarks on a two-week club tour of mostly Eastern U.S. cities before he takes his acting stage turn, including stops in Nashville and Philadelphia.
“Jekyll & Hyde” is in its fourth year on Broadway, with more than 1,200 performances and four Tony Awards under its belt.
