Old Is New For Veruca Salt
The last time Veruca Salt toured with the original lineup was in 1995 when DVDs had begun replacing video cassettes, “Star Trek: Voyager” made its debut on the then-fledgling UPN Network, and commercial development of the internet was only in its second year.
So it’s been a long time since Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Steve Lack and Jim Shapiro toured together under the Veruca Salt banner. But if good things come to those who wait then Veruca Salt fans have lots of stuff to look forward to. In addition to the tour the band will release its first new material in more than 14 years when the group issues a 10-incher on Record Store Day, April 19. Arriving on the band’s own Minty Fresh Records, the disc includes the band’s “Seether” single plus two new tracks – “The Museum Of Broken Relationships” and “It’s Holy.”
