Steely Dan Expands U.S. Schedule
Looks like it’s time to start the “Countdown to Ecstasy” – aka the launch of the 2014 excursion. The tour’s first stop has been moved up to July 2 in Portland, Ore.
Walter Becker and Donald Fagen couldn’t “Do It Again” without their famed backing band, featuring Keith Carlock on drums, Freddie Washington on bass, Jim Beard on keyboards, Jon Herington on guitar, Michael Leonhart on trumpet and keys, Jim Pugh on trombone, Roger Rosenberg on baritone saxophone and Walt Weiskopf on saxophone. And of course, your favorite Steely Dan tunes wouldn’t be complete without the help of backing singers La Tanya Hall, Carolyn Leonhart-Escoffery and Cindy Mizelle.
Select cities will be treated to two nights of the jazz rock band including Redmond, Wash.; Saratoga, Calif.; Nashville; Toronto; Red Bank, N.J.; Morristown, N.J.; and Huntington, N.Y.
