The Rolling Stones In Israel

The concert was announced by Israel promoter Shuki Weiss during a press conference held today.

“It’s the first time in 35 years that I have no words to describe the enormity of this event,” Weiss said, according to The Times Of Israel.  Weiss said he received confirmation on Friday that the Stones would play Tel Aviv’s Park Hayarkon June 4.

“This is an historic moment,” Weiss said.  “It’s a huge honor to bring The Rolling Stones to Israel, an honor for the country, the citizens and mostly for the fans who have waited for this moment.”

The concert is being sponsored by Israeli telecommunications outfit Pelephone.
