Katy Perry’s Australian Adventure
Fans in Melbourne and Sydney are the lucky ones blessed with two evenings of Ms. Perry while her followers in Perth, Hindmarsh (Adelaide) and Boondall (Brisbane) settle for one night with the “Roar” vocalist.
Speaking of “Roar,” the song has pretty much conquered the Aussie charts, having been certified 9x Platinum, making it her biggest single in that country. Her latest single, “Dark Horse” has already reached triple Platinum. Both singles hail from Perry’s bestselling Prism album.
Presented by telecom Telstra via its Thanks program and concert promotion outfit the Dainty Group, Perry’s trek through Australia is currently the last set of dates on her Prismatic itinerary and follows a lengthy run through the U.S.
“We are honoured to be promoting Katy’s tour in Australia,” Dainty Group head honcho Paul Dainty said. “She is the hottest star in the world, her single and album sales are staggering and Australians adore her.”
