Simon is expected to perform three songs.
“We are thrilled that LGH19 Productions has secured legendary musician Paul Simon for the 75th Anniversary Celebration Concert to Benefit the Baseball Hall Of Fame,” said Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum president Jeff Idelson.
“I had the pleasure of touring Paul through the Hall of Fame’s collections in 2006 when he performed at Doubleday Field and now understand first-hand his passion and respect for baseball and its role in American culture. He donated a copy of his famed ‘Mrs. Robinson,’ in which he sings of Joe DiMaggio, to the Hall of Fame Library during his 2006 tour, and I cannot think of a more fitting musician to pair with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.”
Tickets are available now for n evening where “musicians, baseball stars and celebrities from film and television will come together for one magical night.” Visit CooperstownConcert.com for more info.
