Dave Matthews Band’s Summer Of 2014

Dubbed “A Very Special Evening With Dave Matthews Band,” the two-set concerts will feature material covering all aspects of the group’s musical legacy.  Expect different configurations ranging from acoustic to electric and including a stripped-down pairing of Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds.  And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited for summer, DMB says it will be joined by special guests throughout the summer.

“I was talking to Carter [DMB drummer Carter Beauford] about how much I still like just sitting around playing music together. It’s how we started – in the basements of Carter’s and my mom’s houses,” Matthews said.  “Our shows are loose, but we started thinking that maybe this summer we should make them looser and bring some of that feeling to the stage.  It seems like the opposite of a safe plan, so why not?”
