Justin Bieber Says He’s Officially Retiring – Or Not

Justin Bieber spent Christmas Eve messing with his fans. A week after telling a Los Angeles radio show that he was retiring, the pop star tweeted Dec. 24, “My beloved beliebers I’m officially retiring.” But less than 45 minutes later he apparently took it back.

His next tweets assured fans that they have nothing to worry about.

“The media talks a lot about me,” Bieber wrote. “They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I’m never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle.”

The Biebs then threw in a few Christian life lessons along with another assurance that he’s not really retiring.

“Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER.”

Yeah, because Christmas is all about Justin Bieber!

Who knows why Bieber is trying to pull the same prank he just played. Maybe he figured that he got so much attention the last time he said he was retiring, that he’d cry wolf again. Or maybe he was worried about ticket sales for his new documentary.

“Justin Bieber’s Believe” hit movie theaters Christmas Day. On Monday he released the compilation album Journals. The album includes songs that Bieber put out during a 10-week digital download campaign as well as five previously unreleased tracks.

Last week the singer made headlines when he told Los Angeles radio show “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” on Power 106 FM (via TMZ), “I’m actually, uh, retiring, man.”

His manager, Scotter Braun, set the record straight with ITN.

“Oh, no – he said in the interview he was kidding two seconds later,” Braun told ITN in a video posted Dec. 19. “Next year he’s taking a break just to make music and relax, take some time for himself for the first time since he was 12.”
