Paul McCartney Taking Questions On Twitter

Now is your chance to ask Paul McCartney any questions you have about his upcoming release. Macca will take part in his first-ever live Twitter Q&A Thursday. You’ve got less than 24 hours to compose the perfect Q in 140 (or less) characters.

For those of us on the West Coast, set your alarm because you’ll be starting your day bright and early with the former Beatle at Twitter.com/PaulMcCartney. The Q&A begins at 2:40 p.m. in London – which means 6:40 a.m. Pacific Time.

McCartney has signed on for the Q&A to help promote the launch of his new LP, appropriately titled New. The album is due out Oct. 14 (Oct. 15 in the U.S.), featuring his first collection of new solo tunes since 2007’s Memory Almost Full.

An announcement on his website says he’ll be answering questions about New and the recording process. Label your questions on Twitter with the hashtag #askMacca.

Wondering if you can ask McCartney about his view on the government shutdown or maybe to share his favorite vegetarian recipe? A fan on PaulMcCartney.com had a similar thought, asking, “Are questions only about NEW or they can be whatever I want?”

A web administrator on the site replied, saying, “Paul will be picking which questions he would like to answer. He’s very excited about his NEW album right now so questions about that have a better chance of being answered.”

So, now you know.

While we count down the time until the Twitter Q&A, here’s the lyric video for New’s title track.
