Max Bemis Slots Acoustic Tour
But Bemis isn’t going on the adventure alone. The shows will feature sets by Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids as well as Perma, the duo made of up of Max and his better half – Eisley vocalist Sherri DuPree-Bemis. Also on the bill is Merriment.
Perma will release its self-titled debut album Oct. 29. Meanwhile, you can listen to one of the tracks, “Little Light” via Diffuser.fm. Another track, “Two Of A Crime” was released last week and has racked up 25,000 hits on SoundCloud.
What can you expect from this acoustic journey? Bemis says he will play selections from all of Say Anything’s albums, old material and field requests, possibly playing songs he’s never attempted before.
“This will be my favorite acoustic tour ever. I just know it,” Bemis said. “In addition to what I’ve found to be a thrilling experience, playing Say Anything songs acoustically in an intimate setting, Sherri and I [will] be getting to debut many of the songs from Perma’s Two Of A Crime live for the first time. Having a hero of mine such as Matt Pryor along for the ride, and my favorite new band Merriment opening, just makes it even more exciting.”
