Gucci Mane Sued For Fraud
Stephen Gold claims he lost almost a half-million dollars when Mane failed to perform two concerts in 2009, according to Courthouse News Service.
Also named in the complaint are production company So Icey Entertainment, booker Mizay Entertainment and the company’s Johnnie Cabbel, management company Hitt Afta Hitt Entertainment and employee Debra Antney.
Gold alleges Mane and his co-defendants booked the show despite knowing the rapper was unable to travel outside of Georgia without court permission because of a 2005 felony assault conviction and a later probation violation.
He claims a $24,000 deposit and $175,650 in expenses were not refunded.
Gold seeks $45,079 and punitive damages from the defendants for RICO fraud, wire fraud, common law fraud, civil theft, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and conversion, according to CNS.
