America, Get Ready To Be Aokified

Steve Aoki is living out his “always on tour” mantra. Last year he played more than 300 dates, including his biggest and most successful trek to date – the Deadmeat Tour. Now he’s set to stay on the road through late November with his fall “Aokify America Tour.”

The EDM producer/DJ will be joined by special guest Pharrell Williams on select dates with Borgore and Waka Flocka Flame as direct support. The outing is presented by Dim Mak, the record label/events/lifestyle company/apparel line founded by Aoki.

“I literally spend the majority my life flying from show to show, but last year’s Deadmeat Tour opened my eyes to the level of performance and production I can achieve with a traditional bus tour,” Aoki said. “So when it came to planning a new tour for 2013, coming off the biggest year of my career, I knew I wanted to up the ante on every level.  With Aokify America, we’ve increased the production, gone into some of the best and largest venues, and brought along an amazing lineup including two of the hottest artists in their genres, Borgore and Waka Flocka Flame. And of course with the year Pharrell is having, hearing he was able to jump on some of the shows was an honor all its own.”

Before Aokify America officially kicks off Oct. 4, Aoki has a few dates to take care of this month. He’ll be in Spain and Switzerland next week, followed by a gig in Singapore and an appearance at TomorrowWorld in Fairburn, Ga.
