Gudinski’s Future
Australia: Michael Gudinski’s Mushroom Group and subsidiary Frontier Touring struck a strategic partnership with dance promoter Future Music Festival (FMF), effective Sept. 1.
They’ll jointly present the signature EDM Future Music festival, which hits five Australian cities and Malaysia in March.
The fest has sold 1.4 million tickets in Australia since 2006. It also becomes co-producer of the under-18 version Good Life, which next year expands from two Australian cities to four.
The deal sees them present individual tours and new events through 2014 that “are expected to significantly impact the festival and live music landscape in the Australasian region.”
“Our involvement with the festivals will fill a gap within the Mushroom Group that has existed to date,” Gudinski said. FMF director Brett Robinson added, “The strength of the relationship will become apparent when we announce our 2014 line up in a few weeks time.”
