Love Some Loves It Dates

With a new album due out in late October, you can bet that Loves It will be on the road to support the LP. But really, when is the Austin-based act not playing gigs? The duo says they’ve been on a “permanent tour” ever since they put their belongings in storage in April 2012.

“We booked as we went and we’ve been on the road ever since,” Vaughn Walters said. He explained that he wondered, “How do we find time to record and where, since we don’t live anywhere?!”

Walters and his fellow road warrior Jenny Parrott made good use of some downtime in Austin to record their entire sophomore album at Ear Studio in just three days.

All We Are – Loves It’s modern spin on “their favorite folk, country, gospel and punk sounds” – is set for release Oct. 29. Check out the tune “Wild” below.

“I started writing this song at a time when I was mad at Vaughn, so I exaggerated some of the things he does,” Parrott said. “Then I needed help to finish it, so he wrote some exaggerated stuff about me. Ultimately, the song is about fighting with a lover who is distant and freedom seeking, and just saying to them ‘The heck with this fighting crap, let’s just take off and conquer the world together as a team.”

Loves It is bound to be coming to your neck of the woods soon. The duo has more than 40 shows on the books before the end of the year, and after all – they’re “always on tour.”
