The Ritmos-promoted festival with a name that translates as ““Paradise On Earth” pulled marginally more than its regular 20,000 per day crowd.
The festival that started in 1993 on a naturally beautiful amphitheatre between Oporto and the Spanish city of Viga was one of the top five fests in Europe in 2005, according to the Spanish edition of Rolling Stone.
The acts enjoying a little paradise at this year’s gathering included Justice, The Kills, The Knife, Calexico, Palma Violets, Hot Chip, Alabama Shakes, and The Vaccines.
