More than 6,000 people signed a petition calling for one of the city’s many unnamed motorways to be named after the singer, who was born outside Melbourne.
Her husband, Charley Drayton, who plays with Cold Chisel and was part of Keith Richards’ X-Pensive Winos project, is organising a star-studded concert in the city in October. All proceeds go to multiple sclerosis and breast cancer charities.
