This year, Nyon was lit up by legends as the organizers highlighted the performances of Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Although it’s not Switzerland’s biggest festival, certainly not in terms of daily crowds, the six-day gathering that’s technically outside Nyon in the village of L’Asse is widely considered its most prestigious.

Many of the 35,000 or so daily crowd will have bought six-day tickets.

More than 9,000 people were on the campsite.

The other acts keeping Paleo at the top of the pile included Arctic MonkeysSantanaThe Smashing PumpkinsBlurSigur RósSophie HungerAlt-JTwo GallantsDizzee RascalPalma Violets, and The Lonesome Southern Comfort Company.
