Margaret Cho’s ‘Mother’ Issues

The Emmy & Grammy nominated comedian and actress takes her “Mother” tour to the global level, playing theatres and comedy clubs as she offers her takes on sex, guns, drugs, and, of course, Mom.

Lately, Cho has been taking her funny business across platforms, appearing with comedian Jim Short on the “Monsters Of Talk” podcast show.  Meanwhile, her “Drop Dead Diva” television show is in its 5th season and will air new episodes every Sunday through the fall on Lifetime.

But if television is too old-fashioned for you, Cho’s “In Transition” series on her YouTube channel about three women recently released from jail can be seen every Wednesday through Sunday.

Now, back to the “Mother” tour.

“My mother did not prepare me for the world,” Cho said.  “First – I was named the poetic Korean name ‘moran’ which was perfect for the kids at school to call me ‘moron’ and set me up for a good quarter century of therapy.  However, I can clean a fish with my bare hands.  So there are pros and cons of being from an Asian immigrant family.”
