The actor and singer salutes to his fans and media in front of the Defense Ministry in Seoul, South Korea.
His discharge after 21 months of service was observed by a large crowd of reporters and women fans in Seoul who held up signs in Korean and English saying, “We waited for you” and “Rain is coming.”
One female admirer told reporters that she had come all the way from Japan and waited a full day in line just to see the “entertainment soldier” in person.
Rain’s work was relatively cushy.
The 31-year-old was assigned to a unit that provides TV and radio programming promoting the military.
He has yet to reveal what his plans are for the future.
