It came up a few hundred short of a sellout but T In the Park chief Geoff Ellis reckons this year’s festival was one of the best TITPs that he can remember.
“Fantastic weather, phenomenal artists and the best audience in the world,” were three of the reasons Ellis felt this year’s gathering was up there with the best of them.
He’s worked on all 20 editions.

The 85,000-capacity Scottish festival, the most recent winner of Pollstar’s International Festival Of The Year award, did a little more than 83,000 per day.
The “fantastic weather” would certainly have been a bonus as rain turned last year’s award-winning festival into a mudbath. The long list of acts creating a memorable TITP July 12-14 included Rihanna, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Beady Eye, David Guetta, Kraftwerk, Jake Bugg, Dizzee Rascal, Alt-J, and My Bloody Valentine.
