Straight No Chaser Is ‘Under The Influence’
If you’re looking for the busiest touring schedule posted on Pollstar.com, it just might be the one belonging to Straight No Chaser. Having been on the road since February, the group has already played many shows this year and has more gigs scheduled for May, June and August.
Touring in support of Under The Influence dropping May 7, Straight No Chaser will commemorate the release with a performance at the Southwest Airlines Porch at Bryant Park, the privately managed park in the heart of Manhattan. The Mark Kibble-produced album features guest appearances by Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Rob Thomas, Seal and Jason Mraz. Straight No Chaser enlisted the very capable talents of Sarah Bareilles for the new single from the album – the group’s take on the Jackson 5 hit “I Want You Back.”
Fans have several options when it comes to pre-ordering Under The Influence, including bundles that include Straight No Chaser Tour Journals, refrigerator magnets, and limited edition screenprinted posters. There’s also a fan edition featuring six bonus tracks, an expanded booklet and deluxe packaging.
