Turn Up The Sound – New STS9 Dates
A release date hasn’t been revealed yet for the yet-untitled 12th LP, due out on STS9’s self-owned record label, 1320 Records. STS9’s most recent album is 2011’s When The Dust Settles.
The new April gigs follow the band’s 25-date Winter Tour, described as STS9’s first month-long coast-to-coast outing in over two years. The previously announced winter tour begins Feb. 21 in Portland, Ore., at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom and concludes with two nights in Asheville, N.C., at The Orange Peel March 23-24.
Support acts have just been revealed for the winter outing. Select dates feature Russ Liquid, Tycho, Cherub, Project Aspect, Raw Russ, Maserati and Minnesota.
As for the new dates, STS9 says, “We just didn’t feel like we were going to see enough of your smiling faces before the end of March, so we’ve decided to add three more weeks in April to our upcoming national tour!”
The April routing includes shows in places STS9 has been meaning to return to such as Detroit and Portland, Maine, as well as new stops including Wilmington, N.C., and Savannah, Ga.
