The Who In Europe

The Who’s “Quadrophenia” tour will play 12 dates in the U.K. and Europe this year as the band takes its 1973 rock opera to arenas in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin.

Almost 40 years after it was released, Peter Townshend’s story about mods, rockers and a man plagued with four personalities has become a timeless classic.  Originally released as a two-record set back in the age of vinyl, Quadrophenia introduced the world to “The Real Me,” “5:15,”  “Love Reign O’er Me” and other songs that quickly became Who standards.

For this tour, the band is eschewing the narration employed for previous presentations of Quadrophenia, choosing instead to go with images denoting particular plot points in the story.

Beginning in Dublin, The Who’s European journey includes nine U.K. stops plus single nights in Paris and Amsterdam.  Here’s the routing:

June 8 – Dublin, Ireland, The O2 Dublin
June 10 – Belfast, Northern Ireland, Odyssey Arena
June 12 – Glasgow, Scotland, S.E.C.C.
