The Roots Picnic’s Tasty 2013 Menu

This time around the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” house band has invited Gary Clark, Jr., Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Grimes to play The Roots Picnic.  Naughty By Nature will also take the stage, backed by The Roots.

The band’s annual hometown festival takes place June 1 in Philadelphia, returning once more to Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing.

In addition, the 2013 roster includes araabMUZIK, DJ Premier, Solange, Trinidad Jame$, The Gaslamp Killer, Hit-Boy, How To Dress Well, Joey Bada$$, Robert Glasper, Sonnymoon, Lushlife, Jennah Bell and more.

Presales begin Jan. 24. Tickets, priced at $39.50 (plus fees), go on sale to the general public Jan. 25. You won’t want to wait to get tickets. Last year’s Picnic – featuring Kid Cudi, De La Soul and Wale – sold out.
