Revival Tour 2013
Entering its sixth year, the acoustic tour celebrating folk music’s rich tradition will follow its Corpus Christi opening night with a performance at Austin’s South by Southwest festival 24 hours later. Other destinations include Houston, New Orleans, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and Los Angeles.
With original tour organizer Ragan on all dates, The Revival Tour is more than your typical acoustic outing. Known for spur of the moment collaborations and intense improvisations, the tour often serves up moments of brilliance, those once-in-a-lifetime performances that can never be duplicated.
“Being a part of The Revival Tour last year in Europe was definitely one of the best tour experiences I’ve ever had,” Votolato said. “It reminds me of why I got into playing music in the first place. The spirit of collaboration, humility, and camaraderie keeps the shows feeling real and immediate every night. Chuck Ragan’s work ethic and passion for what he’s doing are inspiring and I’m honored to have the chance to share the stage with him again on this upcoming run of shows.”
As to the routing, the tour is divided into different time spans featuring varying lineups.
