Heron Ponds Shed Plan

Big plans are in the works for the Amphitheater at Heron Ponds in Delmar, Md., with the announcement that a permanent venue will be built at the site.

Property owner Doug Marshall plans to build a 6,000-capacity amphitheater at the development near the Delaware state line.

“When the property was purchased, we wanted to prove to the public that we were were going to do this,” Marshall told the Daily Times of Salisbury. “We had a lot of critics who said we couldn’t do this. So when we got started with this project, I wanted to do it right.”

Also included in the development are single-family homes and commercial space.

Marshall told the paper he hopes to break ground in February.

The shed hosted concerts with Kellie Pickler, Everclear and Diamond Rio in October.
