Cyndi Lauper Returns ‘Home For The Holidays’
Announced by the True Colors Fund that Lauper co-founded, the Dec. 8 affair at the Beacon Theatre will also feature appearances by Rosie O’Donnell, Roberta Flack, St. Vincent, Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells, Hunter Valentine, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, Rita Coolidge, Emily West, Terri Nunn and host Carson Kressley.
As if that’s not enough to fill up an evening, this year’s “Home For The Holidays” will include a special sneak preview performance by the cast of the upcoming Broadway musical “Kinky Boots.”
How did last year’s “Home For The Holidays” work out? Monies raised by the event launched the Forty To None Project, the first national organization to concentrate solely on ensuring that no young person becomes homeless because of their sexual identity.
“At last year’s sold-out concert we got a bunch of great folks together, had a big party with some great music and raised much-needed funds to help get the word out about these young people who are struggling,” Lauper said. “So, this year we’re going to do it even bigger!”
Tickets go on sale Oct. 26.For more information, click here for the True Colors Fund website and here for the Forty To None Project’s Web HQ.
