Wait, What? Stones Not Playing Barclays?

Word was that The Rolling Stones would be playing the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. If that’s the case, why were their US dates officially at the Prudential Center in New Jersey?

Sometimes initial reports are wrong. And other times things just change. Rumors have it that The Rolling Stones indeed planned on playing the Barclays Center, but there may have been a scheduling conflict. Because the Stones want to make at least one of their U.S. performances a pay-per-view event, there just wasn’t enough time to set the shows up properly.

Fans arrive for the first of eight Jay-Z shows which opened the Barclays Center in the Brooklyn borough of New York.

That’s not to say the Stones won’t play New York anytime soon, or Los Angeles, or Quebec. We’ll just have to wait and see.
