The track is the result of the Stones’ first time in the studio together in seven years.

“Doom And Gloom” was recorded in Paris and produced by Don Was, who worked with the Stones on the studio albums Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang, as well as the live albums Stripped and Live Licks. Jeff Bhasker produced the radio mix.

BBC Radio 2 had the honor of the world exclusive first airplay of “Doom and Gloom” this morning. The song is available to purchase now through iTunes. Or, you can pre-order GRRR! and receive an instant download of the tune. The 50-track compilation, which celebrates the band’s 50th anniversary, is due out Nov. 13 via ABKCO/Interscope/Ume.

Hopefully the new song will hold fans over until the Stones announce those rumored and long-awaited tour dates.
