Released this year on her own Baroque Folk label, Someday has been praised by critics who fell in love with the album’s retro pop sound. Associated Press’ David Bauder wrote that the album’s horns and strings “recall heroes like Burt Bacharach and Dusty Springfield,” while People’s Chuck Arnold said the disc’s “sun-kissed, retro-’60s songs show that she’s lost none of her girlish charm.”
